Empowering Youth, Safeguarding Futures
In a powerful effort to educate students and young people about the dangers of drug addiction, The Grace Thomas Foundation, in collaboration with the Reformed Drug and Substance Abuse Initiative (Taraba State Chapter), successfully launched the Youth Against Drugs Abuse Movement (Y.A.S.A.M.).
The Substance Abuse Awareness Campaign took place at the College of Education, Zing, Taraba State, bringing together students, educators, and community advocates to spark meaningful conversations about substance prevention, healthy decision-making, and youth empowerment.

Key Highlights of the Campaign
- Interactive Sensitization Sessions: Facilitators engaged students in critical discussions regarding the social, physical, and psychological impacts of drug abuse.
- Practical Education: Students were equipped with actionable knowledge and coping strategies to resist peer pressure and seek help when needed.
- Collaborative Community Outreach: Partnering with the Reformed Drug and Substance Abuse Initiative leaders in Taraba State ensured the message was tailored directly to the community’s needs.
