The Grace Thomas Foundation Drives Drug Awareness Outreach at GDSS Jen

Building a Stronger, Drug-Free Future for Students

As part of our commitment to youth education and drug abuse prevention across schools, The Grace Thomas Foundation visited Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) Jen for a powerful community outreach campaign.

The initiative brought together secondary school students, teachers, and foundation volunteers for an interactive educational session designed to guide young minds toward healthy life choices and positive peer support.

Key Highlights of the Outreach

  • Interactive Drug Awareness Session: Students engaged in direct discussions on why “Using Drugs Is Not Cool,” highlighting the importance of physical, mental, and social well-being.
  • Educational & Gift Distribution: Volunteers distributed green gift bags and learning materials to every participating student to encourage continued learning beyond the classroom.
  • Visual Advocacy & Posters: Informative posters and banners were displayed and shared, promoting messages like “Let’s make being healthy your ‘new high'”.
  • Community Engagement: Foundation facilitators and school leadership collaborated to create a safe, supportive environment where students felt empowered to ask questions and share their perspectives.

Our Ongoing Mission

At The Grace Thomas Foundation, we believe that reaching students early in their academic journey is key to building resilient, drug-free communities. Outreaches like the one at GDSS Jen reflect our dedication to nurturing healthier futures for young people across the region.
